I have finally thrown on some older mud tires to see what it’d look like a my truck looks like a truck now lol . Here’s some before and after .

37’s are too much for the 1500 unless you’re just using it as a commuter car. If you’re trying to use it as a truck you loose significant capacity to haul and tow since that large of a tire would raise you gearing ratio up giving you too tall of gearing to be useful. 35’s are about as big as I would go. If you want 37’s you’ll want to regear or get at least a 2500 with the diesel. Then it all depends on how you use your truck.

yeah I was thinking of doing a regear eventually , drives fine to be honest . I want to eventually turn this thing into an off road toy .

33’s and 35’s may seem fine, but as you go bigger the gearing gets taller and the tires are heavier. That all adds up, especially with the 6 speed trans you’ve got.

No issues in 100 000km with mine. Still tows everything I need. If I want a real truck I jump into my 3500 Cummins. lol...

I bet half the stuff you use the 3500 could be done with the 1500 if it didn’t have the 37’s on it. I’ve got 295/65/20’s (one size larger then 35’s) and carry about 850-900 lbs of tools and equipment at all times. I noticed the power difference just going to them from 285/65/20’s and I’ve got the 8 speed trans not the 6 speed the op has. Then add a 33 ft TT behind the truck in the mountains.
