Found some 3in eBay lift spindles. Was wondering if anyone has ever used these in conjunction with a 2in leveling spacer?

Theres a handful of people running them with no problems. But if youre looking for ~5" of lift just go for the maxtrac 4.5" spindles and save your ride quality

I actually replaced my front shocks with bilsteins(factory length) when I put the spacer and honestly can't tell a difference. I just can't decide if that extra 1.5inchea is worth the extra 300$ lol.

Precisely my problem. I'm scared to get the 3in and then wish I would have got the maxtracs. Only thing holding me back from
Maxtracs is the fact I have a 2yo and 10month old.

I feel your pain bro lol I've been through so many suspension changes to get where I'm at now I just wish I wouldve done it right the first time. But at the same time you always have to have a comparison to reality and what works for your needs

really? lol that seems like forever ago now!

Looking back, spindles wouldve been my first option in my build.

Go for the 4.5" spindles and some cheap steps! lol

Think I will. Should I do maxtracs 3in rear lift or go for the procomp 4.5in rear?

NICE!!

Well, I have had nothing but trouble with the pro comp rear lift, but others have had no trouble.
Depends on high you want to go. If you need more than 4" then pro comp is your only option, if you need 4" or less then go with Maxtrac, Maxtrac plus a small spacer, or CST rear lift.

Didn't think you could stack a spacer on top. Think I'll go with there lift with a one inch spacer. Look for my build in the upcoming months!

hi guys,

are u talking about these spindles, i just found:
02 08 Dodge RAM 1500 2WD 3in Lift Spindles | eBay

if yes, does anyone here drive those/know if they are good or if i should get them?
oh, another question: i was thinking about a 3" BL but this might be the better alternative. but is this DIY-thing or can´t this be done in my driveway?

edit: do u know if extended brake hoses are needed? since i am not a professional this might be a dealbreaker:-/!

I'm running those spindles and a 2" coil spacer with Rancho's up front. Ride isn't horrible, I can tell a difference but I can live with it.

does the ride change because of the spindles or rather more because of the spacers? i´d only use the spindles plus a 1.5" spacer in the rear to level it out. are extended brake lines neede with these spindles?
oh, how hard is the installation and how long does it take approx.?

I'd say ride would be more dependent on the spacers. Extended brake lines were not an option with mine I had to have them couldn't put it all back together without putting them on old ones weren't long enough. I'm running a 2" spacer in the rear with the spindles and 2" spacer up front. Mines got some rake to it though but I like it that way. Took me about 4 hours to do my whole truck. Worst part of the whole install was the rear upper shock bolts the rest was breeze could of probably had it done sooner but was just taking my time.

i thought 1.5" in the rear is the maximum ou can go without getting new shocks?!
where did you get our brake lines and how long do they have to be? how did you handle the air getting into ou brake system once the lines were off? can i install everthing first and then take the truck to a shop to get the air removed out of brake system?

I do have longer shocks. You will have to bleed the brakes before you ever drive it or you won't have any plain and simple after you install the brake lines. The brake lines I used are CST Brake Lines - CSS-D11-1 and I ordered all my parts on eBay and have no complaints. I have Rancho's in the rear for 2" lift and then Rancho's in the front as well.

You can use the stock brake lines on the 4 inch spindles with no problems, you have to swap the left one for the right one, they will fit and have plenty of slack for the droop., the best way is new longer lines, my aftermarket new lines collapsed one night on the side of the road ,locking the right front wheel, had to relieve the pressure drive a while relieve the pressure, took a long tme to get home, swapped out for the stock lines when I got home, you also have to make sure those new lines are DOT approved lines like the factory ones are..
TEXAS you can go up to 2 inches before needing the rear shocks, but that is getting real close,
The spacer is what caused the ride to be a little stiffer, it changed the rate of the spring to get it to raise up the truck, the spindles ride the same as stock, just sticks out the wheels on the front...
