I’m having the dreaded RF Module issue due to a 3rd break light leak. I got it diagnosed at the dealership. Because my basic warranty is expired they are not covering it. I’m asking them to submit through Goodwill assitance and am asking them to submit a STAR report to help with the repair being covered. Are there others that have documented this with a 2022? A few posts about it may help. Most of what I’m finding references 2020-2021 with issues.
Get this, in my quote they are quoting to replace the RF Module, but not any additional service to the light to deal with the actual leak. Additionally there is an active recall on the truck and they have said nothing about that and it was not in the diagnostics report I recieved. I can’t count the number of times I have rolled my eyes while dealing with this issue, so I’m not that confident they are going to do a good job at advocating on my behalf. I’m very rural, so they are my only choice as far as dealerships go.
My truck is a 2022 Bighorn 5.7 HEMI, in case those details change any suggestions or comments. I’d love a few stories of similar issues to help bolster my case to hopefully get this issue covered.
