Hey guys just wondering who here has run 35's or bigger on a 3rd gen 4.7L. I have 3.92 gears and will be getting a superchips shortly. Just wondering if it will really dog down the motor at all. Thanks!

I think quite a few guy here have 35s with the 4.7. Ofcourse your gonna feel a difference. But the those gears and getting the tuner id say you will be perfectly fine.

Maybe I'll just stick with 33's then. I just would've liked the extra height from the 35's.

Money really isn't the issue. I will just have to save a little bit more and longer. Just don't wanna dog down this motor anymore then it is haha

Before my 4th Gen, I had a 2008 Chev 1500 with a 4.8L and I had a 6" lift with 35's on it, and i had all the bolt on goodies, CAI, exhaust etc. and it wasn't really that bad, I mean a jacked up truck, unless its diesel, is more a cruiser, and if your offroading you don't real power, like if your drag racing.

I have 38x13.50x20s and have a 4.7. 4.56 gears and the superchips help a lot.

I had a 4.7 with 35s and 4:10 gears..

I would have to vote against it man lol.. It was slow as hell, would overheat under a load, and would downshift on even flat highways. If you don't tow or do a lot of highway, go for it. Btw, I wasn't running a programmer lol.

i would probably go with 33's. the 35s will only give you an extra inch over 33s
