Is you classic a quad cab, crew cab or regular cab?
A 5.7' bed is only behind CrewCabs on 1500 trucks. The 6.4' can be on all the cab styles including the 1500 CrewCab.

I don’t need the bedspace, but I worry about having an auxiliary gasoline tank in the truck bed
Not sure why you would be worried about it, assuming you get a proper DOT approved tank that is securely attached. At least here in the US there are many companies that are advertised to be DOT approved for both diesel and gas. I would also rather have a proper 50+ gallon transfer tank versus carrying a couple 5 gallon jerry cans in the bed!
Many years ago had a friend with an older Chevy 3500 with a 454 pulling about a 40' trailer. It got 5 mpg. Believe he had a 75 gallon transfer tank along with maybe a 30ish gallon main tank. One of his main reasons for doing this was to save money. He would fill up at the cheapest gas places and therefore wasn't stuck with having to pay whatever the station along the freeway was charging. Out west or other rural areas the price was often high and you didn't have many choices. When he did a 4,000 mile round trip that required 800 gallons of gas it could really add up if you could save $0.20-$0.30 gallon during fill ups. The other benefit is he didn't have to try to squeeze a crewcab longbed truck and 40' trailer in some little gas station.

I have a couple farming buddies, and once there's snow on the ground, the diesal slip tanks get a flush and then they're filled up with gas for snowmobile season. You can't use Ont to represent Canada, there's a whole bunch of rednecks west of Ont
I love western redneck and it's mentality. I wish ontario had some more of those, instead we have the woke they/them nation.

I read somewhere about the transport of gasoline in Jerry can/portable container limit. I'll have to find it. I did the 26g to 32g conversion a while back and it's been fantastic for us especially when we tow. I know it's only 6gallons or so but that gives us about 100km range when towing.

There have been threads created in this topic over the years, do a search. The problem is finding a gasoline tank. I remember reading that one was finally available, added I think 10-12 gallons, and was prohibitively expensive. Adding anything in the bed is not only illegal but a disaster waiting to happen.

I haven't seen any gasoline tanks that add as much capacity as your title indicates, but doesn't mean they aren't out there. Are you looking at using a diesel tank for gasoline?

You say you need a lot more capacity and a replacement vehicle isn't in the cards. Are you possibly maxing out your towing capacity and that is why you need more gas? You're going to spend some big bucks to do what you are planning. I would suggest trading and getting the right vehicle for your needs, could be money better spent even though it isn't an option you are considering.
That made me think of the 80s square body trucks from GM that used to catch fire as soon as they got t-boned!

How about NG or propane. Could probably get a kit with a 20+ lb tank. No bcm change because it’s not much weight. I looked at some kits 12-15 yrs ago. I saw Las Vegas taxis had NG kits on them. And I had an 80’s Rv in the 90’s that had prop kit on a 454. That thing ran great on it. Maybe an option. A kit that you could use the 20lb BBQ tank on would be great. lol

They make a 30 gallon tank that takes the place of the spare tire. It is made to fill atvs but you could run the fill tube underneath and into the fill tube for your factory tank. when the factory tank gets low just flip a switch and refill the factory tank while you drive down the road

Now you got me curious ,dig up the law that states that,as i've never heard of that law in Alberta

It has to do with the transport of dangerous goods regulations. You're limited to 150 kg of gas or diesel in jerry cans under the 150kg Gross Mass Exemption.

Under the Limited Quantities Exemption you can carry more, but you have to have DG Certification for that, to the best of my recollection.

I seem to remember if you had them tied to the box of the truck, you could get around that law

I will likely end up using a diesel tank on my hemi. I’ve read extensively on this topic this evening and I’m coming to find out that the fuel tanks that titan makes cannot be advertised as being compatible with gasoline motors but they certainly are.

I don’t see an issue with carrying 50 gallons of gasoline. I have a work van with a gasoline motor that has a 53 gallon tank.

I’m not maxing out my tow capacity by any means. Simply put, the 300 mile to empty range on my truck is insufficient. It’s likely insufficient for many others too.

DOT is a joke
Enjoy driving a fire bomb. Do you remember the Ford Pinto?

Read an article recently where a much higher proportion of passengers (proportional to build numbers) have died in Cybertruck fires, than the Pinto. ...

They probably couldn't get out. That was really a bozo move to make the interior door handles electrically operated (I know there is a manual pull). 5 people near us burned up in a car/tree hit on a model S.

Back to your spare fuel tank, if you DO put in a spare, be real sure you do a Pro job installing it with quality line and fittings. For your own safety.

Cyber trucks are ticking time bombs. Tesla’s in general.

I’ve seen more cars catch on fire while charging around here than I care to believe.

why back when I was pulling a 5 th wheel with my 1975 D 2500
Club cab, I bolted the 100 gallon slip tank down, as usual when using it, I had a 12V pump on it, but for the trip to the coast from Sk., I ran a 3/8” steel line to a selector valve by the seat

I made the mountains, with the usual head winds going west.
This was during purple gas days, you could run with what you had in the truck when you left, and as it was bolted in and plumbed in, it was a legal truck tank
I believe redneck was mentioned!

1500-2k for a larger tank for a few months? Nope, not me. I'd just use a couple 5 gallon cans for a piece of mind on the 300 mile stretches. Maybe, just maybe a Titan SideKick for 350.
