Came across a 40 Business Coupe searching the webs and was looking at the pics.
It is a pretty cool and pretty original except for the power plant in it. Looks like it has a 57-58 1st Gen 392 Hemi in it. Says Chrysler FirePower on the valve covers, has the dual quad set up on it. Looks like it has the 6v generator on it too.
Was reading up on the 1st Gen 392 Hemi and those appear to be the one that the dragsters and hot rodders were using to make the power back in the day...didn't realize the 1st Gen Hemi's were what made the Hemi name...
Anyway, looks like these are pretty easy to make power with...the Chrysler 300 with the 392 Hemi was making 375HP.
The 40 has a 3 on the tree...It's not all rotted out and it looks pretty original. Really interested in it. Be a cool ride to have. And fun to hotrod out especially with the 392 FirePower.
