I've got a 2004 ram 2500 with a 5.9 Cummins and a 48RE transmission. At first, I had a problem develop where it seemed like the torque converter was staying engaged. Takeoffs from a standstill were incredibly slow, and felt like I was pulling 10,000 pound trailer. Then once up to about 5 miles an hour it really took off. But shifts up to 2,3 & OD were super soon ( into 3rd at 15, OD at 25 mph)
It wants to plow right through the brake at a stoplight. In fact, I ended up touching somebody else's bumper when I released a little bit of pressure accidentally.
when stopped if you release it from drive to neutral, the engine revs really high for a second then comes back to normal.
So my first thought was to change out the solenoids. I've got a couple of sets from an earlier 46RE issue on a van, swapped them in. Now id dont have OD . I don't see where the overdrive circuit has its own fuse or relay. No engine or Transmission codes.
Also the lighting to the odometer and message center is out. I tired toggling the Tow/haul mode but theres nothing there.
So do I have a problem with solenoids or somewhere else in the valve body?
