4th gen or 5th gen? Looking at upgrading

Looking to go from my 2wd to 4wd. A local dealer has an '18 4wd big horn crew cab loaded w nav for 31k. Brand new. Or should I wait a little and get a 5th gen? I like both, I love my 4th gen. Other option is wait until 5th gen 2500 is out and get a deal on a 4th gen 2500 power wagon.

Thats easy you just go home and take them off yourself. I did it from my 13 to my 15. took my toneau, floor mats, bed liner.

Do you need a 2500? If not, and you really really really want a 5th gen truck, get the 1500.

Need is so subjective lol. Be nice to have the towing capability but currently my 1500 has enough to tow what I need.

The 18 has 5 miles on it. Its brand new. We are held up on trade in. My truck has 76k on it so we are going back and forth

i dont know what is considered as a "fully loaded" big horn, but my dealer near me (volume dealer) has 2018's big horns for about 15k off msrp (and if you qualify for any additional money its up to 20k off)

OP what is msrp of your rig you are looking at? and are you looking at a crew cab or what?

MSRP is $44 of the one I'm looking at it's a crew cab w bucket seats in the front.

At the sale price of the new one I'd expect the trade $ to be way low. They have no $ in the deal on that side.
