4x4 noise ?

2015 1500 4x4 50k on the clock..Decided to run my 4 wheel drive as I pulled in my driveway as have not used it in awhile and and then hardly at all ! Forward and back perfect BUT when turning left or right feels like it is dragging ? BUT 2 wheel drive no issues! Any ideas ? THANKS

If you don't have the "Auto 4X4" button, then you have a part time transfer case(BW 44-45) that's not intended for driving on dry pavement while engaged. When turning, your starting to feel driveline binding.

It's the system binding up and the tires are scrubbing. If you want to lube your 4WD system, do it in a straight line.

Thank you for your replies ! I did know about dry pavement and a 4x4 , was not sure about any noise,,this was on my dirt driveway but it is packed hard so I believe you confirm the issue! It was only a few feet just to get the gears wet! Now I can sit back and enjoy my beer :) Thanks
