5.7 ram Rev Down

Hello there, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if anyone has a solution to fix this. On my 2011 Ram 1500 5.7, when I’m sitting in park or neutral and I go to rev the engine, it takes about 6-7 seconds for the rpm’s to reach back down to idle speed. Unlike a classic car which you can rev the engine and it will come back down within 2 seconds. Is there any sort of fix for this? Or is there something in the computer that makes it do that?

Dump the fuel injection and computer, and return to a carburetor.
