OK. My 5.2 started having problems with compression. So weather fixing it. I'm installing a 5.9 with 108k mi on it. Stay tuned for pics.

That big circle on the back of the engine. Also incorrectly referred to as the flywheel.

Get that center divider cut out at the very least.

No, but on the post 97 trucks it was gone. So Dodge must have realized it was useless by then. You cut the intake runners down as well as the divider out.

Well I got it all together. I cut the divider out. I didn't trim the runners tho. I got the plenum on and forgot pic. But it went together perfect. I got the plenum done perfect... I'm hoping no air leaks. I used commercial firest*ne sealer. Ignore the * its legal matters.

Well, you at least used a Fel-pro gasket, right? lol That will last you til you can do upgrades on it anyway. :naughty:
Timing chain? Might as well start off fresh IMO.

A flex plate is used with automatic transmissions, while a flywheel is used with manual transmissions. Flex plates are typically thin and flywheels are noticeably thicker. Fun fact for the day :)

Flex plates also have massive holes in them IIRC.
