Thanks to MickeyGreene for his post on these tips. I grabbed some off ebay and the necessary parts from my local supplier. Super easy istall that took a whole 40mins and looks great and enhanced the exhaust note nicely. Little deeper rumble.

Plasti-dipped my factory tips black. They dont get you larger 5" tips but you get the black look and the price is right. Will see how they hold up over time.

For anyone up here in Ontario Canada, Lyell’s stainless in Burlington Ontario sells a pair of stainless or black 5” tips for around $200 for the pair (CAD) and they are direct fit bolt on (although my factory clamps sucked so I also tack welded them to fit snug and not come loose)

I got the stainless 5” and they fit perfect, no rattles, noise, issues at all.

Looks great, nicely done! Such a big difference…I really like the look with your black accents too. Glad everything went smoothly!

For anyone wondering if the plasti-dip help up the answer is no. I towed some snowmobiles up into the mountains last month and I think the exhaust got so hot it melted some of the dip off the tips.

2015 Crewcab rocking Moe's Performance 5" exhaust tips DIY black by yours truly. If you have stock exhaust the split tails are 2.25. They originally came chrome but I eventually had other plans. Been on the truck since 2017.

Bake them in an oven to set the color and cure. Installing too quickly will lead to doing it again.

Looking at adding 5 inch black exhaust tips. Is the inlet measurement 3 that comes stock? I have a 2015 ram 1500 HEMI Big Horn. Also, any recommendations on brand?

I have the Carven on my night edition and they look great. They have 2-1/4" inlet that clamps onto the tailpipes where the stock ones are mounted.

So Inlet I need is 2.25? I thought it was 3?

The muffler inlet is 3" with dual 2-1/4"outlets. Here is the Magnaflow I installed in my ram. I had to use two 2-1/2 " to 2-1/4" reducers on the muffler outlet.

Man I wish I found this before I ordered the Magnaflow. Good prices and well rated for pretty much everything they have.

I'm ordering their 5" black tips this week I think. Soon anyway.
