Nice! So glad to hear it's progressing well! It's probably the second best mod I've done to my truck and one I would recommend to anyone brave enough to do it.

Sadly, I can't speak much to the soft buttons vs hard buttons as my 2012 just has the hard buttons.

Just wanted to give a bit of an update to previous posts…

I ended up having to use the occupant detection sensor from the gen 4 seat as well as repin the seat belt buckles to get the evic to clear.

Center console has power at this point, however, wireless charging does not work and have not tried the aux yet.

Rear seats will be In today, but need to get the reclining striker plates. Wiring is in for the rear seats but still can’t get the module to communicate with the buttons. Thinking it has to do with the can bus and my bcm not even knowing what this module is in the truck.

Maybe I’ll be able to bypass the can bus and wire the switches directly to the module. Not sure but would be great

Any updates to this regarding the center console?

So, I got the cooled seats working.

I used a PWM controller to make it work. The output from the 4th gen HSM goes to the PWM controller, and the output of the PWM controller goes to the 5th gen fans.

I had to wire the fans directly to the PWM controller - since in the 5th gen, the fans have constant +12vdc when the ignition is on.

So, it's now 100% functional!
I’m putting 2021 TRX seats in my 03. I got the power seats on both sides working.

My question is are the fans in the seats PWM? I wonder if I can just wire those fans up to direct 12vlt on a switch I’m ok with them being full blast all the time. Or will it burn them out?IMG_1532.jpegIMG_1533.jpeg

I'd be beyond shocked if the fans were not PWM.

To my knowledge, all 5th gen seat fans are PWM.

Here's the fan spec sheet - it will interpret it as continuous logic and will stop.

A few pieces of info:

1.) The seat belt buckles on the 5th gens physcially work with the 4th gen seat belts, but do not remove the seat belt light. The fix - swap in the 4th gen seat belt buckles. The plug on the 5th gen seats are exactly the same.

2.) The airbags on the 5th gen seats work for the 4th gen SRS system. The plug needs re-pinned (i.e. remove the wires from the 5th gen connector and place in appropriate section on the 4th gen connector).

3.) The 5th gen seats have the HSM under the passenger seat. The 4th gen has the HSM under the drivers seat. I am going to use, in effect, the 4th gen HSM and logic, and connect to the seat heaters / coolers on the 5th gen. This will be a longer, slower process - as my truck did not have heated / cooled seats originally.

4.) 5th gen rear seats (top) vs. 4th gen rear seat (lower ) brackets:

I realize this post is 5 yrs old, but hoping you're still active on this forum. Can you please elaborate on the airbag pinout changes required to use 5th Gen seats in a 4th gen truck? Ref: manual seats, no heater, no nuthin, just airbag wiring.
