put the interior from a 22 limited longhorn in my 18 2500 tradesman with the jump seat and floor shifter, i couldnt find much on a swap with the floor shifter so heres a few pics. swapped the seats, console and door panels in. found a good limited dash local and replaced it and a longhorn upper glove box. have the matching steering wheel coming. feels like a different truck now. i had to re-pin the both driver and passenger connectors for the air bags and drivers for the the seat belt light. only have the power functions on the seats working right now as that was the main goal.....get power seats. would love to have heated and cooled seats but havent found anybody willing to make a harness to get the heated and cooled seats working maybe in the future somebody will because 5th gen seats are way easier to come by and in better shape anywhere around my area it seems, somebody could make a killing figuring that out. ive seen 1 guy post he got his working in another thread but doesnt seem to get on the site anymore.rear seat.jpg

on the floor shifter i just took a 1" wide 1/4" flat bar and cut the shifter off the bracket and welded the flat bar in its place, i cut the shifter down to height i liked and welded it on the end of the 1/4 flat bar. shifts no problem. i had the jump seat and floor console and the center console is way better for me.

on the console i ordered some 4th gen console front and rear brackets and they both work with some modifications. the rear bracket i cut it down a little shorter because its a little tall and it works in the factory holes in the truck just had to make new holes in the mount. the front i cut down the ends shorter because i think i have my console a little father towards the dash than most i have seen. i cut off all the brackets off the front of the console and even in to the sides to get it as close as possible. right now i just put some screws in the 4th gen trim panels so it would'nt look terrible, later on if i can find some cheap 4th gen side panels ill cut the wings off and fit it to my console so the push pins will hold the trim panels and get rid of the screws but for now it works. i ran wiring from under the driver seat because u need a power, ground and dimmer wires for the charging ports to work and the only way i could get that to work was getting a extra mini usb? not sure whats its called but it connects to the radio and to the console believe its for the usb hub in jump seat once i got it connected they charge and the ports light up. i have power and ground to the wireless charging but its not working and dont really plan on using it anyway.

on the ac duct mine was about an inch and half short from making it. i ended up taking the little short duct that works with 4th gen console and i cut both ends off and put them together with some screws and rtv in the gaps. took some 1"x3/8 window seal from walmart around the edge that goes in to the console side and it doesnt leak air one bit. i plugged all the vents on the dash and put my hand around it and couldnt feel any air leaking and the vents on the console blow pretty well. right now thats all i got until i can figure something out with heated and cooling if i cant i still accomplished what the main goal was.

this is the side view of it slid all the way forward and in to the dash duct, its tight thats the best pic i could get.

Brilliant job on your interior swap, especially the shifter mod. Can you elaborate on the airbag and seat belt wiring (pinout changes)?

Awesome job! the shifter mod is just what I needed to see! Want to put 2022 Laramie interior into 2021 tradesman and was wondering what to do about the floor 4wd shifter and the center console. Quick question - my 4wd shifter is a Brute to get up into 4L - is that normal - I am concerned that the amount of force it takes would not end well with your welded mod and the potential for for a lot of torque when pushing up hard to shift and breaking it... is my shifter just not working right? 1st Ram with the floor 4wd shift to I am clueless as to how easy it should be. Thanks!

my shifter wasnt very hard to get in to 4L in the floor console but it is a tad more force this way. its still a little more force to get 4L instead of 4hi but i dont believe its enough that i could bend the bar or even break the weld. you may work the shifter every now and then, it seems mine would get tighter when i didnt shift it for awhile. i usually try to atleast shift in to 4hi every week or so now because it just shifts easier if i do.
