procomp 6” lift on a 2017 1500
I want to possibly get a set of 17s with 37x12.5s

Will the procomp lift work with 17s?

What’s the allowable backspacing to make it work?

Anyone know more about this than I do?

For ex: will a 17x9 -12 fit without issues?

do you have a 4wheel parts you could call? I would give them a yell. I would rather talk to guys who install them for a living myself.

So ProComp is telling me (the guy reading from a sheet of paper) that 18” wheels with maximum 5” backspacing is the smallest wheel I can run. Anyone know otherwise?

He didn’t seem like he knew for fact...he kept saying “it says here we cant run 17s”

So does anyone know of anyone running a 6” ProComp with 17s on a 4x4 4th Gen???

Otherwise it looks like the smallest I can use is an 18? Which isn’t the end of the work but I was really starting to want to run 17s with 37s as of late...

Don't take this as gospel, but maybe this is the reason or one of them.. There is a solution!

The tpms valve stem might rub the tie rod. Provided a pic below on my 20" wheels, -44 offset. If I put the valve stem cap on that, it will rub the tie rod and blow it, I will no doubt have a flat instantaneously. That's how close it gets. I imagine with a 17" being a smaller diameter, it could place that stem even closer.

However, they do have shorty stems you can purchase to solve that problem if that is in fact the sole reason.
