I'm finding that exhaust options for my '15 2500 5.7 (standard cab, longbed Tradesman) are pretty thin… Anyone know whether exhausts for the 6.4 are compatible with the 5.7 (or what the primary difference is)? That could potentially open up some options for me…

What I'd *really* like is to ditch the stock Y-pipe, replace with an H- or X-pipe into dual mufflers, then dumped into dual pipes out the passenger side (either in front of or behind the rear wheel). Corsa makes something like this, but it's right spendy and monopipe only.

Going to a custom muffler shop is the backup plan, but as I have no options that are close, the logistics become a challenge.

Pipe and muffler size are the primary differences. You'll find a squished Y-Pipe in the 6.4L engine as well. Here's mine:

Instead of trying to fit up the 6.4L system with no real gains to be had, I'd go to the local shop for a muffler installation of your choice and maybe a resonator delete as well. Just be advised that a reso delete can cause drone. I'd try a different muffler with the stock resonator left in place.

And I bet the shop would have an idea as to what to do with that mashup of a Y-Pipe.

Or, you can do what I did with my 2007 MegaCab....single in/dual out muffler with new tail pipes and tips.

I'm looking to go with the Magnaflow 15333 on my 5.7, even though the exhaust is spec'd for the 6.4L. The muffler inlet is 3" on the 5.7 and 3.5" on the 6.4. I've been told by quite a few knowledgeable guys that it won't hurt back pressure bc everything from cat to engine is the same. I'll find out in a couple months.

Groovy. Pipe diameter is fairly easy to change!

The exhaust systems designed for the 6.4 Hemi will work fine on the 5.7 Hemi. I just finished the install of the Magnaflow 15333 on my 5.7 and ask it took was adding an adapter, 3"I.D to 3.5" O.D. about$10. Everything else fits perfect.

The system is a little louder than I was expecting but It def has a lot mellower tone than Flowmasters, Corsa or MBRP exhausts, and sounds awesome when you get on it. The cab drone with cruise set at 70 on highway is barely noticeable (with radio off or low) between 1000-2000rpm. Above 2000rpm and there is no cab drone at all. Overall for a full stainless catback system I'm happy. Curious how it will sound after a 1000 miles or so.

I always have a shop custom build dual exhaust for me. Cut off the Y pipe and run 2 pipes back. Did Flowmaster Original 40 series dumped in font of the axle on my 6.4.
