What location do most of you prefer to have your 7 pin receptacle, in front of the wheel well or behind? This receptacle has a 9' lead so I have plenty of options for a location, just want to know where the most convenient location is.

I imagine you're talking for a 5th wheel?

Thanks... that is where they are from the factory, but I have also seen posts where full time 5vr's like up front. Seems to me back is the best place too, but as I have said this is my first 5th wheel so I thought I would ask some more informed people.
Thanks again

Most of our truck beds have a hole from the factory to mount the plug. It’s on the left rear bed corner

Unfortunately mine did not come that way. Had to cut a 2" hole in my bed. I hate doing stuff like that to a $50,000 vehicle!

I agree. After I posted that I looked at my bed again and it looks like it’s drilled for a 6 pin.
My bad.

Instead of drilling a second hole you can always use a 'step-drill bit' to open up the existing hole.
Might be able to find a cheapie if you're not going to use it again.
