Hey guys trying to get this figured out. Any suggestions are appreciated.

2014 ram 1500 2wd 5.7 liter
7inch maxtrac lift

Ever since I put the lift on the ride has been very rough. Sometimes......

I just took it to GA from North Carolina and it drove smoothly the whole ride down. On the way back it rode rough again. I think I feel it coming from the rear. Sometimes it's hard to tell though When it's bad it's bad very very bouncy and I can tell even at a very low speed. (30 mph)

Alignment re done and all 4wheels road force balanced.

Any ideas
Maxtrac doesn't seem to know what could cause this as the kit is supposed to still keep somewhat of a factory ride. Did get the maxtrac shocks instead of bills..

Thanks

Go look at your rear shocks. What direction is the shaft of the shock (shiny part) pointed? Up or down?

I haven't had any issues with my lift as of yet. Just got it done at the beginning of November. Did you have a load on your trip and no load now? Just brainstorming.

Shiny point facing up.. Same load on the way down as the way back and sometimes it's different when no load at all

Sometimes it's more noticeable without a load. It's very weird

Well your shocks are in right. Maybe your panhard bar isn't completely level and its throwing it out? I would check all bolts are tight. Check swaybar bolts. Make sure your springs are turned in the correct spots and make sure you have the correct amount of PSI in your tires. I'm just running down a list of what it could be now. Good luck.

Any update on your truck? I have a 2015 1500 and I'm thinking about getting the maxtracs 7" lift. Just wondering if it is something related to the lift that's giving you your concern.

Hey BWaterdt60 have you called in and spoken to tech support (specifically JJ) about what's going on? I'd like to see what's going on to see if we can get it alleviated. It's strange that it only happens at certain times. Let me know what you have discussed with whoever you spoke to and let's try to get this taken care of for you. -- Sean

Yes I have spoken with JJ prob more than he would like. Haha I am not sure what is going on. Sometimes it's very smooth and sometimes is uncomfortable harsh. Usually when it's doing it it is kind of constant. Like my wheels are hitting bumps in the road every 100 feet or less. Then sometimes it's very smooth. I have tightened every bolt I can at this point I don't know what else to do. JJ said I should possibly try a 3 inch rear spacer with factory coils to see if the truck is reacting badly to the spring rate of the coils. But I can't seem to find one also am a little hesitant bc I have dumped a lot of money into the truck already on alignments and tire rebalances. Also I would think if the truck was acting weird with the coils than it would do it everytime I went for a drive.

I plan on installing my kit today. I'll let you know if I have any of the same issues. Been sitting in my garage for a week just staring at me, Lol!

That is very strange that it only happens periodically. Have you tried removing your coils and installing your factory coils to see how the truck drives? I know it's kind of a pain and the rear end will be sagging but it's an idea. It comes down to a process of elimination which again, is a pain but it's such an isolated case. Anyways let me know if there is something else I can help with but that's an idea to try swapping out to stock coils and see what happens...

I installed mine a couple days ago and took it out for a test drive. Everything rides. Good. Only noise I hear is when turning full lock. Traced it down to the spindles actually hitting the lower control arms at full lock. Can see where they are rubbing. Other than that, that's it.

Have you mad sure your rear sway bar end links are completely tight? I know mine popped a few times when I was lowered and it was due to one being loose. After tightening no more noise.

Did you tighten your track bar while your truck was in the air or when it was on the ground?

Issues are still occurring. It is very frustrating I haven't had any time to, use process of elimination to get it figured out. There is a small rattle in the rear when driving that is noticeable especially at lower speeds when I can hear it over small imperfections on road.

I'm not sure if its related to the intermittent shake/vibration or not
