Just picked up a 97 chassis cab, drove well, but on further looking found it has no rear brakes! Did check out frame etc, saw rotors but didn't notice calipers were missing - too much else to look at.
Build sheet off of vin says drums originally. Got caught bad on this deal - trying to salvage without breaking bank too much further.
Need to locate info on appropriate calipers or how to identify rotors (year) for replacement.

99% sure you might be out of luck for a stamp on the rotors that could help.

Theres are a few ways conversions are done.
-used rear diff from newer model with discs
-3rd party kits

Check the rear axle number stamp and see its the correct model for your truck. If it is, then a 3rd party kit was probably used.

You might be better off just buying a new kit since the calipers have been gone for im guessing awhile. You should also replace the brake fluid
