'97 Ram Sport Seatbelt Chime

Hey all, first post here, but have been lurking for a while.

Searched but couldn't find anyone talking about this. I've got a '97 Ram Sport. While I was driving it one day (not wearing a seatbelt), the truck all of a sudden started buzzing at me. I figured out that it was due it was the seat belt chime. (Sounds almost identical to the buzzing/chiming that occurs when the door is open with the key in or when you start the truck) If I pull the seatbelt down (like I am going to buckle the seat belt up) the noise stops. But when the seatbelt is completely retracted it buzzes the whole time. Is there a sensor within the seatbelt assembly that detects when the seatbelt is retracted?

Didn't know if any of you had ever experienced this or knew of a quick fix.

Search around the base of the seat belt by the floor or pull off the side panel on the wall and in plug the wires........or do what I did open your fuse box and look in the back to the left and pop the buzzer/chime box out of the fuse box and you'll never hear it again.

I thought about popping the buzzer out, but wasn't sure how it plugged in and didn't want to break it. Not to mention, it might save me from locking the keys in the truck.

Yea I've locked mine in numerous times lol I finally keep a key in my wallet lol but if they made a better sounding chime box for our trucks I'd put one in mine and it just plugs in like a fuse lol
