Would upgrading to a bigger Alternator solve the issue? Would it even be worth it?
No problem, as far as upgrading the alternator, I personally have no experience with this but I don’t believe this would solve the issue because on the 06-08 trucks the voltage regulator is in the computer. So there always is a slight delay between a power demand such as running power windows, and when the truck actually sees this and responds by upping the voltage. That’s why at least with my truck, you’ll see the lights kind of dim, then brighten up about a half second later. It just takes the truck a short time to see what’s going on and adjust for it.
Using an external voltage regulator would probably get rid of the issue but I think it comes with its own set of obstacles.
