A/C problem

My A/C won't start unless i press the fuse box down with force at first i tought it was the aircondition fuse i changed it it didnt work untill i pressed it down hard and i press it down anywhere in the fuse box and my air turns right on and as soon as j let go it shuts off once in a while it will turn on by its self but works 5-10min and shuts off any ideas what it might be this is a 2013 dodge ram rt

Sounds like it might be a bad solder joint or a poor or corroded connector pin.

Thanks i dont want to take it back to the dealer i barely got my truck backs i was 3 weeks with out it any ideas where i can get it fixed can it be any mechanic or does it have to be a specified one?

Also remember that the compressor will cycle automatically so don't confuse that as a problem.

If it is a connector or pin you can try removing the connector to the PCM and re-inserting it. I do not know which one would carry the line.

If it is a bad solder joint that usually means a new circuit board, they are difficult to fix if it is fixable.

An good HVAC shop could probably handle it and determine if the board needs to be replaced or the dealer.
