Anybody painted the A-Pillars to match the rest of the interior? I have a 2014 Ram 1500 Express and I hate how the interior of the truck is black/diesel gray down low and a light tan up high. Any advice/pictures from anyone who has attempted this would be greatly appreciated.

I've done it on other vehicles but not this one...yet.

For vinyl and cloth parts I used SEM dye.

For the plastic trim I used Duplicolor. Prep is easy for both. Matching the rest of the interior can be a bit of a challenge.

Check out Duplicolor's site for their interior paint and adhesion promoter.

I would recommend plasti-dip first. See if you like the color change, experiment. Then go with a permanent solution.

Did you sand your trim down "smooth"?

I have the same issue as you. I don't like how light the top half is. If you pull the trigger on it and do it post up some pics and what paint you used

I wonder if you can get the trim pieces in gray or black and just replace them? I'm nervous about painting them and would much rather buy new A-Pillars and replace them.

I feel you, I want a black interior, but paining is a permanent mod and trim pieces aren't cheap.
I don't like permanent lol

Use plastidip. That's what I did and it turned out well. I chose this because it's also a grab handle. with my wife wearing her wedding ring and other passengers as well I knew that this would get scratched. it's a lot easier and doesn't take any prep to redo plastidip like it would if you paint with duplicolor.

I would think by now there are quite a few in wrecking yards. They may not be a high demand piece so you might want to call around locally.

Mopar does make factory interior touch up paint to match the black on the dash and it's made for plastic/vinyl application. I want to say the ID # is DX9. I found some on eBay and it's not cheap. I haven't gotten around to shooting my a-pillars yet and though I might start with the overhead console surround piece first.

I have noticed the 2016 Rebel has all black pillers and headliner, I wonder what it would cost to buy all the replacement parts in black

yeah i was looking for 15-16 ram rebel replacement parts but no websites have them yet, might be awhile. It will be a good option if you dont want to paint your own headliner/pillars but only comes in crew cab.

Post pics and info pls

I second that. PICS and INFO.

I was talking with a buddy of mine and he suggested since I am getting Katzkin seats to just get some extra material and wrap the a pillars. Anybody tried something like that?
