After doing some research I have decided the combo I am going to go with. Any opinions/comments on this setup before I pull the trigger?

2011 Ram 1500 4x4 Sport Crew Cab Mineral gray

I already have flat black tube steps and a flat black diamond plate tool box

Rock Star XD775 20x10 matte black

**** Cepek Fun country 2 35x12.50 20

BDS 4 inch suspension lift.

The only thing I am now trying to figure out is proper backspacing. I will not accept any kind of rubbing no matter how slight. I also dont mind the tires sticking out a little, in fact I prefer it. Any thoughts? Thanks for the help.

I also want HID lights, I have heard even with digital ballast people are having flickering problems on these trucks.....I guess I am off to the exterior mod forum to do some homework

I'll let one of the 4th gen guys chime in on the backspacing but I believe you'd need at least 4.5".

As for the lights, hit up JJ, 0212353, for a set of HID's that will work perfectly in your truck

Mineral Grey is the best color, proven fact. My HIDs from Jeremy haven't given me any problems.

what backspacing option do those wheels have? Also i would check with BDS to see what is the maximum backspacing that works with their lift.

btw i think that is going to look great, and with 20x10's you will have the wheel sticking out from the fender.

I would have to agree that mineral grey s the best.....

The only info on XD website is that the offset is -24 , I will have to research this but I assume that is mm.

BDS website says the following about the kit

Tire & Wheel Combinations
35" x 12.50" w/17 x 9 and 4-1/2" back spacing
35" x 12.50" w/18 or 20 x 9 and 5" back spacing

I guess I will have to call them and ensure 20x10 will work. I see no reason while it wouldnt so long as the backspacing/offset put the extra inch outside the fender well

i'm pretty sure that -24 (which is mm) offset will give you 4.5" backspacing. so you would be good with it fitting with the lift.I can tell you that your tires will stick out past the fenders a good 1-1/2" of not a tad more. Here are 20x10 wheels on my 05 with -18" offset(roughly 4.75" backspacing) with 12.5 wide tires.

Ok a few google searches later and I found that the backspacing is 4.56 inches..... I really like these rims, but it is starting to look like they wont work. I wish they made a 20x9. The next size down is 20x8.5, I may as well just keep the stockers at that point

they should work....when they put that 5" for 20" wheels that is probably the maximum backspacing.

Thats about what I am looking for. Damn nice looking truck. I had 16x10 on my 99 CTD and I thought it looked great as well. I like the tires hanging out a little...kinda looks tough.

Good luck. You will clear fine with 5" of backspace. Or if you want them to stick out more, go with the 4.5" of backspace

I run a setup close to that.
Mineral Gray
**** Cepek FC II's 35x12.50.20
6" RCX lift
ATX Justice Wheels. Backspacing was -12 or -16, can't remember, but no rubbing whatsoever.

Just heard back from BDS, they emailed me, but I also called them. I must say I am impressed with the customer service they offer.

Hello Dave,

Thank you for your interest in BDS Suspension systems. The 20X10 wheel with 4.56" of total backspacing would require some trimming to clear on a 2011 Dodge 1500 with the BDS 4" suspension lift. I would recommend you use the 6" front and 3" rear suspension lift to clear the wheel and tire combination you would like to use. The 6" front and the 3" rear lift would offer a level stance on a vehicle that is currently 2" or more tail high. Please let me know if you need anything else.

Best Regards,

Ted Yearling
