The truck has started to have the ABS and Traction control lights intermittently, why?
4X4 and cruse control not working when this happens?

2018 Ram 2500, Laramie, 6.4 motor.

This topic was discussed recently in a thread I’ll see it I can find it.
The basic premise is, under certain conditions this is normal operation as outlined in the owners manual

Do you have a owners manual for your 2018 2500 6.4 Gas?

If you have access to a OBD port reader you will have more information.

ABS sensor and pump is what goes out on the 2500s, this I know because it happened to my 2500 work truck a while ago .... if it's still under warranty don't waste time and get it done right away, it's like $1500 if not covered by warranty .... good luck !

As said, get a code reader. More than likely a bad abs sensor connection. I chased mine down to a rear abs sensor. And then it would still sometimes do it when I'd start the truck. Turn off and back on again lights would be gone. Turned out to be the battery was shot as well

I read the code, It’s left front wheel speed sensor .
At the dealer now they are diagnosing it now, they said it not likely the wheel speed sensor.
Will update when I know.

It’s the left front wheel bearing is shot causing small vibration and causing the sensor to throw a code.
I never felt the vibration
Getting fixed on extended warranty
Nice to hear they actually diagnosed it and fixed the root cause. I know a lot of people would of just thrown a new speed sensor on it and then complained when the code came back up.
One to thing to clarify about the code you had. The codes does not specifically say that the sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. Rather the code states that it is getting a bad or unusual signal from that speed sensor. As in this case the reason it had a bad signal was because the wheel bearing. Electrical problems like corroded terminals or rubbed through wires are other common issues. From my experience on diagnosing these issues the majority of the time it's not the actual sensor (O2 sensor, wheel speed sensor, etc...) stated in the code, but rather the wiring or some other part causing the sensor to get a bad signal.

About the only time I've seen a bad wheel speed sensor it was because the hub/bearing was wobbling so bad it ground down the speed sensor. If you read any forums you see a lot of "had an O2 code so changed the O2 sensor but the problem is still there".
