Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) ABS

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. FCA US LLC has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain [2017 - 2018 (D2) Ram 3500 Pickup, 2017 - 2018 (DD) Ram 3500 Cab Chassis, 2017 - 2018 (DF) Ram 3500 10K Lb. Cab Chassis, 2017 - 2018 (DJ) Ram 2500 Pickup, 2017 - 2018 (DP) Ram 4500/5500 Cab Chassis] vehicles. RECALL DESCRIPTION The brake hydraulic control unit (HCU) on your vehicle [1] may be susceptible to failure or malfunction which may result in a reduction or change of Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) /Electronic Stability Control (ESC) /Traction Control performance. A failing HCU will initially result in the intermittent loss of ABS/ESC/Traction control progressing to permanent loss. The loss of ABS/ESC/Traction control may cause a vehicle crash without prior warning.



I've been on a list for an extended period of time and never get updates. I've reached out several times with no progress. What's it take to get a SAFETY RECALL addressed?

hello new to this forum, I have 6.4 2500, I am at plaza ram in Inverness, fl, I am currently getting the recall performed, per parts department, they have 3 in stock. I was in for oil changes, they told me they have the part. Just fyi
