Install was roughly an hour and 20 mins, no more lights! More importantly sweet sweet cruise control. This took 133 days from diagnosis to install, but the more tickets they get, MAYBE it'll light a fire under someone.

Well drove it today on about a 25 mile round trip. On the way there the ABS/Traction control and service brake system lights started flashing. Did it about 30-40 times and chimed each time. On the way back everything was fine but looking like my 2nd replacement in 3 years now if I can find the part. I'd bet I only have maybe 10,000 miles on it since the last one was replaced. That one cost me about $700 out of pocket. Truck only has 38,000 on it now. I still have the old module. Anyone rebuilding these?

I still have my old unit. I'm going to tear it down and try to fix it then swap them. Pretty sad that 1) you can't get a replacement part and 2) if you do it will fail again in a couple of years

Ordered a remanned module 2 weeks ago. Delivered. Installed. Threw check engine codes, transmission codes etc. Took off new module and noticed the pins were bent causing contact to not be made properly. Can't bend them back ourselves. Put the old one back on. Check engine lights go away. Contact company and they tell me to send it back for a refund. So we send it back Monday. Ordered another remanned to replace it. Website says 4 in stock. Paid for the module. Find out yesterday... by the way we are out. You can wait or get a refund. The ones I can find on ebay appear broken so we'd have to find someone to repair it (and the major rebuilders aren't going those) or are only coming out of China. Now we are stuck in limbo with what to do. Are people just driving them with the bad modules?

Pulled my old one apart today. Watched a video to use a 9v battery on the terminals to see if it engages...nope. Pulled it out of the housing and both brushes are stuck. I did get the one to move but the other one won't budge. Planning my next course of action now but thinking of breaking the plastic 'posts' that hold the runners down then file the brushes and reassemble with some type of epoxy. It's the original one from my truck so shouldn't have any issues putting it back on. Maybe the day after Thanksgiving. Will keep everyone posted.

Well I wasn't very successful with that. Got the first side apart ok and filed down the brush. Went to take the other side out and broke the tab on the 'runner'. Figured if I glued it back in good enough it would be ok so tried some epoxy but had trouble getting the spring and assembly back in and the epoxy had already dried so I gave up and ordered one off eBay from a 2011. I'll just swap the motors on them and let you know how it goes.

Bought one off eBay for $125. It was off a 2011 1500. Swapped the motors out today and so far so good.

I have been waiting for over a year for the ABS module. The dealer told me someone else has been wanting 2 years. 2016 ram 1500. I can't fix it or sale it. Almost wrecked 2 times because of the abs system not working.

It's time consuming but I started in VA. I called every dealer in the state and I found the module in my hometown. Some dealers have them they don't want to ship them out. I paid extra to get it shipped to Mass.

How did you manage to drive before vehicles had ABS then ;) Blaming the ABS system for bad driving is on you:waytogo:

Update! Got a call from Stellantis and the ABS module should be at the dealership on Wednesday, been a pain in the butt but I do think opening a ticket helped considering I mentioned i was not sure IF the truck was technically operational since I need an inspection sticker in an area that actually hooks up to the machine, tests components and I literally have a warning of needing service to a safety feature lol
Total days: 95, will wait to see if part is in fact at dealership on Wednesday
Texas inspections never considered ABS as an essential part of the overall safety protocol. Thus, one could go request an inspection while the ABS/VSC lights lit up the dash. Louisiana might be different. Geaux Tigers!

When someone tries to use toxic shame on me, ("someone else has been waiting 2 years") they get an earful of wrath from me. It's akin to "Eat all your food because there are children starving in a 3rd world country".:yucky:

Just to update....i replaced my motor off of one from a 2011 about 2 months ago. After about 500 miles or so still no dinging or lights. Fingers crossed my ABS module issues are behind me now
