I had an issue with my 2015 ram 1500 for a while and couldn't figure out what it was. I would be driving along on the highway and suddenly my vehicle would slow down significantly for half a second and then recover If somebody had been behind me they would have rearended me at that moment very likely. One day out of the corner of my eye I saw a light briefly come on at that moment on the dashboard. I figured out it was the ABS system kicking on and causing that very dangerous slow down. Now I have to turn off the ABS every time I get in the vehicle. Has anyone else had this problem? I had taken the car to the dealer a number of times about the issue and they couldn't figure it out before. I tried to alert the Department of Transportation so there could be be a recall but apparently nothing has happened. I need more proof that other people are having the same problem before a recall can be required.

If there is a failure to the ABS system it turns off by itself, sounds more like another problem like a hub bearing seizing or a wheel speed sensor malfunctioning.
Take it to a different shop or pull the wheel yourself and inspect brake pad and rotor wear in case your calipers are stuck or ebrake cable is hung up

The device you turn the ABS system off with is that an ALFA OBD ?
