Sorry if this has been covered I looked but could not find this issue. I have a 2006 2500 5.9, it does not have dual climate control. My problem is when I am parked it blows cold out of all 4 dash vents. When I am driving it blows cold out of the 2 passenger vents and hot out of the 2 driver side vents. The temp is ambient air temp out of the 2 drivers vent when driving and in the 40’s when stopped. I have it full cold and recirculating. I don’t hear any thing in the dash when turning from hot to cold and if I turn it to hot it gets real hot. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you hooked up a set of gauges to see if you are low on refrigerant it will blow hotter on drivers side if it is.

Jws123, I'm not following your logic about low freon = hot driver side.

Would you explain in greater detail?

Dont remember exactly why I will look tomorrow for the exact explanation. Every single dodge ram I have owned and worked which is a lot the drivers side blows hotter then pass when freon is low have seen others say the same thing on here if you look around.

will the charge have an effect when it’s driving or stopped. It blows cold at idle and hot while driving.

Looking into other forums and saw where the outside air temp sensor has something to do with the A/C function. Mine recently started to show about 30-40 degrees colder then actual outside temp. Could this have anything to do with my AC issue?

Probably a broken blend door, it causes these same symptoms and is very common on the 3rd gen rams

I would go to a Radiator and Air Conditioner Shop
Where they only work on radiators & AC

You would not believe how little they charge, when you compare prices

They even have 2 prices
If they tell you that you need a part, radiator, compressor, etc.
You can pull the part yourself & drop the part off, or drive up to the shop & drop the vehicle off
& have them do the labor of disassembly & assembly

That problem if it's not related to a blend door problem IS according to Dodge fixed by adding a few extra pounds (in pressure) of refrigerant. I've seen the service bulletin. So just as JWS123 suggested, check out the pressure.

My feathers think Low Pressure/Unequal pressure between zones (high/low side). Heck, on MY 19, the AC is subpar, and RAM says all good, LOL.
Wouldn't that older truck use 134A??? Available all over, not like the new garbage 1234 in the Newer RAMS. All IMHO only.,

ADDED: On MY 19, my drivers side depending upon load is 4-9 degrees warmer than pax vents, and according to RAM all within specs, go figure, and this is after the TSB to fix the AC issues on the 19's/early 20's.
