Acceleration lost while passing!!!

Twice in the last two days while passing cars the first downshift is fine. The second one I lose RPMs for about 15 seconds and I barely get past a car. I drive a lot of backroads with passing lanes and this is dangerous! Any ideas?

Check engine light? Codes? MDS not disengaging?

If you take a dealer tech on a ride, can you get the truck to replicate the problem?
