I'm getting ready to place my PW order and two options I'm still debating: active steering and Ram Boxes. I've never had a full size truck, but I test drove a PW this weekend without active steering and didn't notice anything about the steering good or bad. The dealer only had four 2500s total and none had active steering. It's only $300, so I'm just tempted to check the box, but can the active steering be turned off or adjusted if you dont like it? Did anybody get active steering and regret it?

Anybody with a '21 having any warping issues with the Ram Box lid? I have not heard any recent complaints, so hopefully Ram fixed that issue.

I don't have a MY21, but if you mean "adaptive" steering, then most vehicles equipped with it steers easier at slow speeds and gets firmer at high speed. My VW Tiguan has adaptive steering. If not, than I have no idea what it is. As for the RamBox, it's a matter of choice. They are nice to have (I have them) for some additional storage that can be somewhat secured and easily accessible. MOPAR has kits for dividers, fishing poles, and firearms Can be problematic due to warping, if the design or material has been changed. If your a stickler for body fit and gaps, you maybe disappointed if it does warp. It still latches though. Some say RamBox reduces bed capacity, but not much. It eliminates that area usually around the bed wall and wheel tubs on a regular truck bed and RamBox option comes with the cargo management items such as bed lights, tie down rails, and bed extender/divider. Having a RamBox means no topper. Some aftermarket stuff like a OEM/tonnaeu cover are avaible though (above pics) and I think a few racks are available that work with RamBox.

I'd be interested to read how FCA engineered adapative steering to work on a HD steering gear box. These usually get sloppy after normal wear and tear over time.

Yes, thank you. I fixed the title.

I cannot find any details of the adaptive steering used by Ram. Here is an image I found of the system used in a 2017 Ford Super Duty - basically a worm gear and electric motor in the steering wheel.
