Adding steering wheel controls

Hello all! Just installed a kenwood nav unit. I would like to install steering wheel controls. Not sure what all I need, including the modules to actually use them. The ASWC-1 is what I believe I need to run SWC. Now the truck does not currently have SWC installed.
I have the back cover that has the switches installed as well as their harness and the clockspring. Not sure if the truck harness supports the SWCs.
Truck is an 05 CTD with the basic 4 speaker system.

I used a pac SW1-RC from Pac. Wiring was pretty simply and programing wasn't bad.. You can find it on ebay or amazon
