I leveled and put a body lift on my RCSB and I need to adjust the headlights to compensate. The problem is that my driveway has a decent angle to it and everything I've seen is done on level ground. Is there a way to use my garage door/driveway even though it's not level?

Yes--I think there is a thread in the DIY section about aiming headlights--before I leveled mine I parked about 25 ft. from the garage door and turned the lights on and then measured the height of the beam from the ground. After I leveled it I parked the same distance from the garage door and measured it again and then lowered them to the first measurement. I'm sorry I can't remember the distance from the ground when stock----

If you didn't mark the headlight position on your garage door before the level then no you'll have to find some place level to do it correctly.

You can still use your garage imo. Measure from the ground up to the brightest spot directly in front of the truck. Be about 25 feet from the garage by the way. Put tape on the garage the same height as what you got right at the bulb. You may need to go up a little on the door. You could run a piece of plywood from the driveway to the door and measure from that instead of the concrete. If people are flashing you then drop em 0.5 inch.

It won't work, if his driveway slopes up then if he aims at the garage door then when he gets on level ground his lights will be aimed too far down. If it slopes down then they will put too far up once the truck is on level ground. You have to do it on level ground or it won't be aimed correctly.

If he puts a piece of plywood at 90 degrees from the sloped concrete driveway then he could make it work.

Thanks for the info, I have one more question...

When I installed the body lift I had to remove the grill, front bumper and headlights. When I reinstalled the headlights would they have gone back to where they were previously or do they have to be readjusted if removed? I've only had this truck a few months and its not my daily driver, I haven't had it out after dark much so I don't know how far out of whack the lights may be.

Other then being about 1.5" higher because of the body lift they will still be aimed the same.... removing them doesn't change anything, unless you mess with the headlight adjustment screws you'll be ok.
