Anyone have airbags installed on there trucks after a lift? If so how does it ride after? What are you towing with your setup?
I have a 4" bds with the 3" taller coils . The coils are super soft and definitely need some help. I have a 6000lb trailer. .
Thanks

I have bags in my levelled ram, only did a 1" spacer in the rear above the coil though. The bags only inflate to add stiffness to the coil and not go from frame to axle which is not what I was hoping for when I bought them. My truck still squats a bit when I put my quad in the box but it rides nearly stock with 30 psi in the bags and the quad in the box. When it's not hauling I run 10 psi in the bags just to keep some pressure to stop any pinching that may occur. With just that it rides a bit stiffer but nothing to cry about.

Look into Timber Grove, they make a frame to axle bag kit and brackets for lifted applications, I forgot the other company that makes a similar kit but air lift make a kit as well. These are a little more expensive, the bags inside the coil kits can be had for $100 or less.

I had Forestone Coil-rite bags inside the coil and as mentioned above they work by exerting pressure on the coils to restrict the coil from compressing, not the best way to maintain a nice ride.........

And bags inside the coil need to be inflated before a load is applied, frame to axle do not.

I have the 3inch taller coils from bds in my kit so i dont know how well the inside coils will work. I spoke with bds a few days ago about the coil rate of these taller coils , they said there 20% stiffer than stock. i added a little spacer on top of the coil and have 2inches of rake. Im hoping that the blue ox hitch will distribute the weight pretty well and wont need bags at all. . Picking up the trailer in 4 weeks. .Time will tell i guess.
