I have a 2014 with Air Suspension and I am trying to determine if my ASCM or Valve Block is faulty. Does anyone here know how to test either successfully?

Backstory:
My truck has been dropping the rear-end to the bump-stops about every other night on its own. When I start the truck in the morning it will pump up the air springs to ride height and all is well.

Last night I disconnected the electrical connection on the 'air control valve block' to see if any corner will drop over a period of XX days. So far, no drops.

So, I'm now trying to figure out how to test the valve block and ASCM in isolation to determine which one is the root cause of the dropping.

It’s most likely the valve block. The valve block and the compressor are the 2 most common failures I see.

Tach_Tech,

Does the valve block usually fail due to;
  1. moisture?
  2. worn solenoids?
  3. other?

Moisture is usually the cause of the compressor and valve block failures.

Would injecting a moisture dispursing agent into the system (WD40, air tool lubricant, CRC brake line antifreeze etc..) help keep corrosion at a minimum?

It definitely wouldn’t hurt. I know of a few shops/techs that do that.
