AlfaOBD Transmission Relearn

Hi everyone, so, i was wondering about the Alfa RFE relearn and if mine is acting right.

So, once i’m done shifting to all the gears it asks for you to shift into before you shift into OD for it to begin the relearn process, it seems to bring the RPMs up in my truck to 1500 before i shift into OD and i’m scared of causing massive transmission damage when i shift it into OD.

Is this normal?

Rpm raising is normal during a quick learn. I forget what the 8 spd raises to, but I'm sure I've seen the older RFE or TE series trans raise to 1200 - 1500.

This is normal, i’ve done a few since i’ve posted this and it’s worked every time. Don’t worry about it.
