Hey guys/gals

I took my truck in to precision alignment this weekend in Calgary AB... the truck has been pulling to the left quite a bit... wondering what you all think of the quote they presented me with...

1. To replace the track bar (whole thing), the long drag link to adj sleeve, the short drag link to pitman, a new bracket for the steering damper (which Dodge said we would need as they changed it AGAIN!),
including all the (Dodge) parts, labour, alignment, materials and enviro fees = $1245.08 + tax = $1307.33 all incl

2. To replace the track bar “bushings" on the bar, (aftermarket bushings as Dodge does not sell them separately), the long drag link to adj sleeve, the short drag link to pitman, a new bracket for the steering damper
(which Dodge said we need), including all the parts (mostly Dodge), labour, alignment, materials and enviro fees = $1014.18 + tax = 1064.89 all in

We MAY be able to get aftermarket 2008 Dodge RAM 3500 parts that would work, but I didn’t look that up today....I will if you want it.

3. To replace the front differential pinion seal including the seal, labour, fluid, materials, enviro fees is $253.83 + tax =$266.52 all in

....

On the quote above, apparently my steering has been upgraded to 2008 standard... Thats why they are talking about '08 parts as 06 won't work on the newer steering.. correct?
Thoughts?

This post won't tell you exactly what you want to know, but maybe just give a little insight into some US prices. I just had upper/lower ball joints and alignment done last week on my 2500. It was $729.34.

I've also been doing "one-a-day" projects. Yesterday, I replaced the sway bar links. That was ~1 hour each side (first time I'd done it); Chinese parts were ~$35.00/link. Moogs were ~ double $. Saturday was for Panhard rod bushings @ ~$15.00/set (Moog). Not fun, especially with no press/torch/air tools and by oneself. But definitely something DIY. Today, maybe shocks.
