Alphaobd remote start

I've done everyone on YouTube and on the posts i can find. Trying to get remote start to work on a 2015 ram 1500. Is there something i missing with the fobs? I added the dome under the blank button but still won't start. Help please!!!

Welcome to the forum!

I’ll add on to the others... please list the steps you have taken so far.
Also tell us (after your description of the steps you have taken) if after adding the fob overlay and hitting the start button if the horn honks one, or twice or not at all and what does your driver display say?

It will be much easier...

Ok after those steps did you reset your RF Hub in AlfaOBD????

And do you have the hood latch w/the switch and have it wired?

Ok guess I'm a nrwb!
I didn't reset RF hub and i thought that all the hood latches had the switch, is there a way around it?

Also, you need to look under 4th Gen DIY for the Remote Start Thread. It explains the hook latch switch and wiring, plus workarounds if you DON’T have the right latch (and the hazards of doing it that way).

Not all Rams come with the hood latch w/the switch...or wiring. You’ll have to read the thread and check under your hood.

You can use the same fob. All you need is to get a new overlay, that has the remote start button. And then you need to reset the RF hub. (You'll need your four digit PIN code)

You can add a pin into number 11 on connector c1 of the BCM and ground it.
That tell you bypass the hood latch.
Here in Canada it's a 70-30 split if trucks are pre-wired.
ALL single cab trucks are pre-wired.

Then you will need to do the other steps @aimvee listed.

I activated the remote start on my ‘15 3500 a month or so ago. I did install the new hood latch with switch. Programmed with AlfaOBD, reset the RF Hub then went for a drive. Did not need to replace the RF hub or key fobs. All Ben stock to my truck.

I assume you mean the remote...
Take it apart and see if it looks like this:



The important section for you is round pad underneath where the new remote start overlay will go (red arrow in pic above).
New overlay:



The extra button pads on the circuit board are used in other applications for vehicles like power liftgate on SUVs and charging up the flux capacitor (just kidding - that’s only for a DeLorean).

From your dealer...take your registration and driver’s license to the Parts Dept to prove the truck is yours...they should give you the 4-digit PIN for the vehicle for free.

The dealer should give it to you. But they can charge whatever they want for it. If they want more than $15 you can use the Chrysler pin puller app (Google play store) and for $15 in "tokens" it pull your pin from the rf hub. Lot's of members have used it.
