I got my tow mirrors and my light bar in, but I only had time to install the mirrors and bar. I'll be putting the two pods I have behind the grille on Sunday :happy107: Working on my truck in an apartment parking lot sucks...I miss my old driveway.

I also have a MaxTrac 7" lift coming in the mail, should be here in about a week. I do have a question about it, do I need the stock shackles to be on for it to lift evenly? I have McGaughy's 2" drop shackles currently on...I still have my old shackles though.

I really dont get why so many people have a problem with them being up it's the same thing as ford or chevy's being pulled all that way out but i guess most people that tow every day just dont get it i used to and it seems like it would be a pain to have to pull them down every time you dont have a trailer .

i like to think of them as dumbo ears.they look rediculous without something being carried or towed.hands down the stupidest oem mirror on a truck.unfortunately, we're stuck with them.

To each their own. I happen to like them, hence why they're on. I like the wider view angle. Also having mirrors with a new motor in them is nice...these aren't sluggish like my old stock mirrors. Surprisingly they don't vibrate either, with everything I kept reading about on after market mirrors vibrating so badly that's what I was expecting. It's funny how everyone always seems split on the mirrors, either you love them or hate them with no real in between.

I never even notice them. I have a buddy that notices them right away. He hates them. They drive him crazy. Lol. I almost want to get some on mine just to mess with him. I think they look good on your truck.

I actually want a set of tow mirrors, but I think I'm the only person in the country that will leave them folded down at all times lol. Even when I'm towing with the 3500 Cummins at work, I don't even flip them up. Personally I think the dodge tow mirrors are fugly flipped up.

Thanks man! I notice them all the time because EVERY time I see a RAM I look it over from top to bottom if I can. I enjoy examining everyone's trucks...sometimes it gives me good ideas of what to do to mine.

What wheel/tire combo are you going with after the lift?

That's a great question...I'm open to suggestion. I honestly haven't thought too much about it yet because it will be a little bit after I get it that I'll be investing in new shoes.

Ah ok. Well maybe when it gets closer to that time you can start a thread just for that. There are a lot of options lol

Lol it's not that bad you just have to start narrowing it down by what you want and that makes it a lot easier.

Which aftermarket ones did you go with? My OEM regular mirrors shake like crazy and it drives me insane.

These are the ones I bought, I got them expecting lots of shaking but they hold up really well. The mirrors are actual glass which I guess helps. They vibrate a little bit when folded out but that's because they have less support when out and roads here in Texas SUCK! They also come with some wires to splice into the turn signal to get the blinkers working which is nice to not have to wire them up entirely.
