AMP Research Bedstep

Alright animals the mod bug has bitten me pretty hard this past month. How many of you have the bedstep and how do you like them? I realize this is a rhetorical question and there is probably a huge thread somewhere that addresses this. Let's see what you got. Please provide any install tips if applicable.

I have one and love it. The installation is really easy.

Nice, yeah I'm tired of carrying around a step stool when I know I need to get in and out of my bed a lot.

Put mine on a few weekends ago, my back loves me for it, not so much getting up into the bed, but it's an answer to a prayer getting back down. Wish I would have put it on sooner.

I just installed the one from Bestop and really like it. Very similar to the Amp but the pad is a little bigger.

I wonder how does it work with the dual exhaust, jawsz? If anything I would worry the tailpipe being hot and burning the plastic/rubber on it.

Nice, it's ironic that the bedstop looks more like an Amp Research board than Amp's bedstep does.

Mine has been on for a few months. No problems with the dual exhaust heat or clearance.

I noticed that the step for dual exhaust seems to angle out more? I wonder if you have more surface area to step on with the tailgate open vs. the bedstep for single exhausts.

I was concerned about the same thing, it has about 3/8 - 1/2" clearance when folded, but so far no issues at all.

Well got mine installed this evening. Great piece of equipment. One note though. On 2011 and newer model years the say a spacer (included) may be required. Since I have a 2014 I went ahead and installed it. After looking at it I took it all off and removed it. Below is a comparison photo showing with and without the spacer. The spacer created too large of a gap between the bumper when folded for my liking.
