I have a 2023 RAM I bought new a few years ago. About a month ago, the MAPS program on my Android (and WAZE) started acting crazy on the infotainment center (uconnect), with the map spinning around and jumping from location to location on its own. I have figured the problem is with the truck and not the phone, as the MAPS and WAZE programs operate perfectly from this phone on my 2023 Corvette, and 2019 Equinox. It also operated fine on the RAM until just about a month ago. Any thoughts out there on what might be going on?

Is there built in navigation (not AndroidAuto) and does if function correctly?
AndroidAuto will use the vehicle GPS signal instead of the phone location services. It could be a problem with the vehicle GPS antenna.
I'd check for any updates on the phone and for the radio.

The truck did not come with built in navigation, just the ability to use Android Auto with a navigation program. Strangest thing I have ever seen, and definitely a truck problem and not a phone issue...Screen is just bouncing around, zooming in, zooming out, spinning in circles. At one point, the navigation had me being 58 miles away from my actual location...WEIRD

Almost my only complaint about the truck has been the uconnect5 system... I have had some weird problems with it. I would recommend trying to log out of your current "profile" and make a new one, link your phone, and see if the problem continues, I had similar issues and it was profile related. If that still doesn't help you can try the nuclear approach and reset the whole system, then try it again, see if that fixes it. I have done both in the past with success.

Since the same phone works fine in your other cars, the issue is definitely the Uconnect 5 system. A spinning map is a classic GPS signal problem in these trucks. Try the soft reset by holding the volume and tune knobs down for 10-15 seconds. Also check your phone's GPS permissions for the Uconnect app. Has the truck's software or your Android updated around the time this started happening?
