Ever since I've gotten the truck I notice that when I accelerate hard(Not just WOT, but hard acceleration) right as it shifts in 2nd or 3rd gear(never paid attention to what gear lol) it makes a pretty loud belt squeak or squawk. It happens when taking off from dead stop and if im already rolling and mash the gas. Im Not really sure what's causing it but I've replaced the both idler pulleys and it has a brand new water pump on it and it still does it. I took a video of it .

I could hear it on the video real well the other day but not so much right now. It's happens at the end of the video right after my son asks "are we are our road" lol

2006 ram 1500 5.7l hemi QC. Any ideas?

Did you replace the Belt? Turn your headlights on and step down on it the alternator is putting a load on the engine if it squeaks the belt is stretched .

I did not replace the belt. I checked it and thought it looked good. I am actually rebuilding the alternator right now. New brushes, bearings and slip ring. I've thought it could be the tensioner maybe too? I'll do that belt at the same time. Thank you
