It started New Year's Eve on way home from work. Daily driver, work truck, 6k a month. Had it 3 months. Was starting to get the stall at stop signs and slowing down last 3 weeks before. Then on way home, very different, it started to misfire under load on the highway about 70mph. Then it just died and I parked it. Replaced cam and crank sensor in hopes to drive it home. Finally towed it. RPMs move when I crank it. Broke MAP sensor and replaced it.
Finally after a while I just said, let's look at the timing. Driver side chain was of the upper cam sproket. Pass was fine. So full timing kit, oil pump, water pump etc. Honestly not sure if I got alignment done perfectly, but I followed all instructions with the colored links, 12 o'clock, TDC, etc... used ignition tester, it blinked that fuel system is to blame, checked fuel and regulator was bad, 10psi and won't hold pressure. New pump assembly, now at 55 and holding. Replaced EGR and vacuum lines. Brand new battery under warranty. Seems like it's struggling to turn, almost starts, soooo close sometimes. Any ideas and thoughts appreciated.

If im reading correctly your driver side chain came off of the cam sprocket....pretty sure you have and interference engine which means you could have damaged some valves so they probably arent opening and closing correctly....might need to scope it if possible to check unless you just wanna pull the head

Damn, that was my next possible step. Compression. But Ill probably just take it off since I was going 70, can't see something not being at least bent. Will an 09 4.7l head fit by any chance?
