Any GoPro audio editing experts on here?? (this is 4th gen performance related!)

Long story short, I brought out the old GoPro Hero 3 Black edition tonight to make a video of the new exhaust system I had made for the truck to share with everyone here. I made the video and the audio is completely horrible!! There is tons of static and white noise making it hard to hear the exhaust.

I've searched online and apparently this is an issue with these older GoPro models. I also read that you can use an audio editor to clean up the file but this is beyond my patience level lol

If anyone is up for a challenge I can email the file....

Not finding anything about the Hero3 sound problems, well some.....
Have you logged onto the gopro site to update your gopro? This may resolve your issues.

I work gopro video often, I'm not great with the audio. But if you wanna PM me, I'll give it a shot.

I had the same issue with wind noise messing up my GoPro audio. Ended up using a foam windslayer and switched to a lav mic tucked under my shirt—it helped a lot. Also, if you're using your iPhone for those drive-bys or cabin shots, pairing it with the best gimbal for iPhone makes a big difference in keeping things smooth without that jittery handheld look.
