Any tips for customizing the home screen layout?

Hey everyone,
Still really enjoying the Linkswell T-Style in my 2015 Big Horn — no regrets so far. I’ve mostly been using it in split-screen mode (usually maps + music), but now I’m starting to wonder how much I can customize the home screen layout.

Is there a way to move the app icons around or maybe change the default apps that show up on startup? I’ve clicked through the settings, but haven’t seen anything super obvious yet.

Would be great to set up a layout that shows weather + music + something like tire pressure (if possible?).

Curious what kind of home screen setups you guys are running — any hidden tricks or settings I should try?

The best way is using third party car launchers. You can download them from the play store

It has lots of detailed settings for a great price, free.

I think when I had the T Style radio I was using Car Launcher Pro but it has a free version too...I liked Nova as well

Hope y’all are having a good week. Just wanted to ask — has anyone here tried hooking up a front-facing camera to their Linkswell T-Style unit?

I’ve seen there’s an input for it, and with how tall the RAM is, I figure it might help with tight parking spots or off-road angles. I haven’t installed one yet, but I’m curious:

Does the unit allow for switching to the front cam manually?

Or does it only come on with a custom trigger (like a switch or low-speed signal)?

If you’ve done it, I’d love to hear what worked (or didn’t). Seems like a fun next mod — especially if it’s as plug-and-play as the backup cam was.

Appreciate any tips as always!

Before the install, my dash looked like any other stock 2015 setup — functional but honestly kinda dated. Now with the vertical screen, wireless CarPlay, and full climate control integration, the whole front cabin just feels upgraded. Way more modern.

Still no word on the front cam setup from my last post — maybe it’s not a common mod? I’m still looking into it as a possible next project. Would definitely be helpful for tight parking spots.

In the meantime, if you’ve installed any other accessories that paired well with the head unit (USB hubs, OBD2 add-ons, etc.), I’m open to ideas!

There should be a camera app on there that allows you to switch inputs. THere may even be a setting for the front camera to automatically turn on under a certain speed.

Hands down the best matte screen protector I've used is the Brotect brand (company out of Germany). I use them on everything now.

Hey,
Thought I’d share something a bit lighter today — I’ve had a few different friends/family ride in the truck lately, and every single one of them has commented on the new screen.

The most common reactions:
“Wait… is this a 2020 or something?”
“This thing’s nicer than my car!”
“Can you watch YouTube on this??” (uh… yes, but not while driving obviously lol)

One of them actually asked if it was a factory upgrade from RAM — I guess that means it fits the dash better than I thought!

Anyway, it’s been fun seeing how much this one mod changes people’s perception of the whole interior. Definitely made the truck feel more “current.”

Anyone else get funny or surprised reactions after installing yours?
