OP, you're in America, asking if any of us run across some random idiot on the weekly is like asking someone if they're not laughing about our presidential candidates. ;)

I've had a couple offers on mine, until I let them know it's also a 4wd, then they suddenly don't want to talk price. Apparently it's rare for someone in the S.F. East Bay to own and actually have use for a 4wd, almost all of the Expresses and above around here are 2wd.

5 times in a week? Buy a lottery ticket because that is some extreme odds.

Only time I had someone offer to buy my truck hard cash on the spot was when I lived in South Texas and owned a FURD F250. More than likely it was looking to be a drug or illegal mule vehicle. Then again, they usually steal them rather than offer cash.

No one has ever randomly offered to buy any of my trucks, had compliments on the wheels/tires and lifts on previous ones but none so far as to make an offer.

Now my Mustang, every jokester in a rusty 90s Caravan or other econobox seems to think they're Jerry Seinfeld when they come up with the brilliant "hey, wanna trade!" followed by them laughing at their own humor. Ugh....

A personalized vehicle is an "extension" of the owner. everyone like something different.

you have to keep in mind yes its customized to you liking and while others like it also aftermarket parts put ZERO value into it (or very little). yes its a nice looking truck, but considering you can get a brand new express(minus the aftermarket parts) for 27k why wouldnt someone.

I'd love to see where I can find a brand new Express that is 4wd, cloth interior, factory radio upgrade, factory backup camera, factory keyless entry, 5.7, quad cab new for $27k. If that was the case do you really think I'd spend close to that buying it used? I did the build and price before buying used and its suggested msrp is $35k. You may be a hell of a negotiator but one of my best buddies is a GM at a Ram delearship and I'm 1,000% positive he would have sold me a new one if they were as cheap as you're saying.

and as I said in a previous post...that it appears a lot of people aren't reading...this was started as a "fun" thread not serious. I'm not actually insulted by the lowball offers since I'm not actually selling.

EDIT: Not trying to be **** towards you, just don't believe that I can find a new one that cheap. Also not singling you out with the "fun" thread part...it appears a lot of people (like in any thread with more than 3 posts either didn't read everything or skipped over that response by me or chose to) still take it serious for some reason.

Ramblin- it depends where you live. Here in the south east, the trucks are way less expensive than up north or in the Midwest.
You might not get every little bit for $27K +/- but most of the extras for that price. an express any time. If you go to NC or Geogia, the trucks are even cheaper- new and used. Chrysler has even something like a south-east rebate. I've seen it, as I configured the RAM I wanted to have a Price range and Idea how much the vehicle would cost me, if I would have everything in, what I wanted. And a $35K vehicle (sticker price)- no problem to get it under $30K at the dealer.
And as for after market parts- I personally like stock. maybe some very slight mods- like step bars, if not on there anyway, maybe a aftermarket exhaust or some nice rims- that's it for me. If I personally look for a used truck or car- mods are for me a no go. for me it even looses value. but that's just me. I know a lot of you guys see it differently- but I say- yeah- you put that stuff on- but I don't care about it.
At the end- everything has not the value you think it has- but the value somebody is willing to pay for it.

Never had someone give a number but have had people ask to buy it.
And the dealership wants it everytime I stop in there.
Yea, I have to hold off the used car manager every time I'm at the cashier to get my keys.
I've never been interested enough to hear him out, but he keeps trying.

"I need more used RAMs I can certify." "I'll make you a great deal on a new RAM." etc.

Actually Ram has really good rebates when buying unfortunatetly when selling it sucks because our trucks are not worth much. You can get a new one for the price of a used one. My first truck an express back in 2014 5.7 8speed key less entry quad cab BU camera minus the factory upgraded radio was 27k so yes you can find them. Last year I bought my second truck a crew cab lone star (big horn) Msrp of 41k with all the goodies for 30k

It appears I'm in the wrong state. I guess I should follow my buddies advice and move to College Station like he did. I guess trucks are just way more expensive up here in Indiana.

Also, with trucks being more expensive here...the argument of my truck being worth x amount would only be valid where that person is living...not here. So in reality, the people saying 20ish are right for their location, while I'm right for mine. This thread truly wasn't meant to be more than people saying "yup" and sharing funny stories or laughing about it. Somehow this turned into a Price Is Right show with everyone bidding $1 hahahaha
