As the title states, I'm trying to see if anyone here is running 305/50/R20s on their truck.

I'm tired of the 305/40R22s I have now. The tire is too small in diameter for my taste, I'd rather have something in the 32"-33" range. The wheel is also too big. The one thing I do like about them is the width of the tire. The truck is much more planted with wide rubber.

To that end, I looked around and the 305/50R20s seemed like the only acceptable candidate. They're a 32" tire with more sidewall, a 20" wheel, and the 305 width. Plus I can get them for well under $200 each new in a GOOD tire brand.

Thoughts? Pics? I'd love to see these on a lowered truck.

My thoughts are those are almost the same overall diameter. 31.6 for the 305/40/22 vs 32 for the 305/50/20. If you're looking to fill the wheelwell better I don't think that small of a difference is worth it. You said your current setup is too small in diameter for your liking, the 20s will be damn near the same height. Are you lowered already? Or at least rear lowered to level?
Your build thread says you have a 2/4 lowering kit not yet installed. Throw that on and either set of tires will look great!!

Technically they're about half an inch larger diameter. They're about the same diameter overall as the OEM R/T wheels.

Thanks for the pics. Looks good!

Maybe, Unless I get free shipping buying new ones I'd have to pay shipping anyway... I may just throw them on till I decide what I'm doing later... I hate the R/T wheels and tired of them

Ha, ones mans dislike is another's want... We will see what I do with them.. One reason why they bug me is the previous owner curb rashed 3 of them so they are not in perfect condition... which also make it hard for me to sell to someone cause I feel bad for selling something I think is worthless.. That damn Jiminy Cricket inside me...

I might be interested in the R/T wheels also. If hinzy doesn't take them, let me know, I might.

Is your truck still stock height? Maybe try some 305/55/20?

I wasn't aware anyone made that size in anything but an all terrain tire?

I don't want offroad, dirt, or mud tires. I want something that's designed for the pavement. I have the Toyo Proxes ST II and I love them right now.
