Not that I don't believe you. Here is the sticker from mine and if you try for the tax deduction the IRS will see this model Ram with Hurricane motor was assembled in Mexico. They will do a vin check to verify. Just a heads up. Assembly point is at the bottom left above the barcode

The 6K senior credit is in the programs, I use HR Block. Not know on vehicles as since I do not qualify not bother to look.
Used H&R one time as we were told it was better than Turbotax, well the one time we will never use it again as it lied and did not pick up an cross over info from Turbotax, that created a mess for us..

H&R Block and the like are mostly temp employees with a brief training packet on how to use the software. The kicker is they are usually priced about the same as a real CPA, but they've got to pay for all that marketing I suppose.

The engine doesn’t matter, all hurricane engines are built in Mexico. It’s the final assembly point of the vehicle that matters.
If you unfold your window sticker, the line item that matters is boxed in red on the lower right of the pics below.
Starting for 2025 and 2026 model years, SOME 5th gen 1500 DT’s are built at the Saltillo Mexico assembly plant (VIN starts with 3), but MOST are built at the Sterling Heights assembly plant (VIN starts with 1).
You just happen to have one that was built in Mexico.

What Possible Help is this (yet another) scam…on Rams which are ASSembled in Saltillo, Mexico…?!?
Actually, some Rams are assembled in Sterling Heights, Michigan now, most 1500s in the US, and 2500, 3500, 4500, 5500 in Saltillo, Mexico.

Never seen HR block pick up from another program. They will import from programs like Quicken but not from another tax program. Heck not even sure it will import quicken now cause I do not use quicken so no reason to check. But hey not recommending one over another. Anybody use wateva U like.

ADDED: just read did a search on H&R Block reference importing and now they’ve got something new out called direct import that you can import a whole bunch of your information from different sources into your program and you can also import information from a TurboTax return into the H&R Block return now.

But since none of those circumstances involve what I do, I don’t pay a lot of attention to it to be honest honest

I haven't done my taxes yet (something to do with a delayed stock market 1099), and I never paid any interest on my truck loan since Chrysler Capitol gave me a 0% 48 month loan (paid off now). A number of my friends have commented on the significant difference the Big Beautiful Bill made. Most are telling me their taxes (all retired folks) are DOWN between 2 and 3 thousand bucks from the previous year.
