Mine used to lock at ~15mph but they do not anymore after an update. I cannot find the setting in Uconnect like the owners manual says.

I looked in Doors and Locks and Safety. Can someone check theirs and tell me where you option is located? I have the 12" screen.

That's why Microsoft does not make vehicles! You'd have to: close all the windows, turn it off, turn it back on, open the windows! LOL

I disabled all door auto lock on all my vehicles. If you are in a collision the first thing first responders do is try to open a door. If it's locked they waste valuable time trying to find something to bust a window out. I'd rather have full control of locking my doors.

Mine auto-locks the doors at 20mph or thereabouts. My truck does some strange things, and many are not consistent. Sometimes it automatically sets the parking brake when I push to stop the engine, and sometimes it doesn't. Just not the sort of thing I'm going to spend time at the dealer to get a logical answer to. For all I know it is receiving software updates on a daily basis, and the engineering committee can't decide what to do with the brakes. I suspect it might have something to do with the Stop/Start feature, preempting the auto parking brake. And FWIW, Windows 7 use to update all the time. I got no problem with Windows 11. It has been bullet proof. For those with problems, maybe change your regular p*rn site.

It’s not that Windows 11 doesn’t work, it’s just frustrating that it changed so much in how to do things. It really played havoc with my digitizing my vinyl and cassette music to a thumb drive trying to figure out all the changes in in copying from drive to drive or media player to files and to thumb drive. But I figured it out for the most part although I’m not a great computer person.

That’s what new cars are like if you travel and use rental cars. They stick you in something you’ve never driven before and it takes you 15 minutes to just figure how to adjust everything and get it moving sufficiently to clear the lot. Operate the cruise control or zero the odometer - forget it for the first few hours anyway. I once got stuck into a Nissan SUV that I couldn’t figure out how to engage reverse until the next day. That’s what these computerized RAMS (and other) are like. About the time you get your new vehicle set up and operating as you like, the damn thing updates or the dealer runs an update and you have to do it all over again, figuring the changes out as you go.

Clear enough?

I am pretty sure in an accident the doors unlock, the hazards turn on and few other things i cannot remember.

That sounds like great info for an epitaph, although it might be a bit optimistic to believe it.

.

Who wants to volunteer to do a test? :D

Front end collision, full on roll over, etc.

Not sure how to dissect this, not at all. I mean, do you believe the airbags will deploy? ABS will activate? Seatbelts will activate? Maybe I am not understanding your position? Did the steering wheel not turn you from the collision?
