Auto stop/start - seat belt

Hello - I know. Always wear your seatbelt. I’m asking for a friend

Disabled beltminder. Now the auto stop/start will not function without the seatbelt plugged in.

Anyone found a workaround to this?

Go here and buy these: Just plug in and I am able to move vehicle with seatbelt off, door open like backing up when I am aligning trailer. But always wear seatbelt when operating vehicle on any roadway:

I do not have auto start/stop, have keyless start, but I think my suggestion may work. U may have to have BCM reprogrammed, but just a Guess....
